Martina Liviero is an accomplished composer, guitarist, and vocalist from Buenos Aires, Argentina, currently based in New York City. With a unique artistic voice that blends the sophistication of contemporary chamber music and large ensemble jazz with rich South American influences, Martina has emerged as a powerful new presence in the international jazz and creative music scenes.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music, where she majored in Jazz Composition and earned Summa Cum Laude honors, Martina was recognized with prestigious departmental accolades including the Thad Jones Award and the Toshiko Akiyoshi Award. Her compositional talent has also been recognized beyond academia: she is a two-time recipient of the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award (2019, 2020) and was featured in the 2019 JEN Young Jazz Composer Showcase.
Martina has performed in notable venues across New York and Boston, including Rockwood Music Hall, Regatta Bar, Berklee Performance Center, The Lilypad, and the Consulate General of Argentina, sharing the stage with many of the brightest young voices in jazz. As a music educator with over six years of teaching experience, she has taught guitar, ensembles, and music theory to hundreds of students, working with respected institutions such as New York City Guitar School and running her own private studio in Brooklyn.
